i have windows xp with sp2 and recently my computer just restarts by itself.
not sure what's going on but it's kinda annoying cos it does it all the time.
can somebody please help? i know for a "fact" that my computer is virus and
worm free and just not sure how this whole problem started. any suggestions
would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Could be a flaky Power Supply. But rt click MyComputer>select
Properties>Advanced>Startup and Recovery-Settings>
Uncheck Automatically Restart. You may start getting BSOD's with error
message. Post message here.

Check the setting that restarts automatically IF you have a fatal error...

Start/ Control Panel / System /Advanced tab, Startup and Recovery settings
button... UNCHECK automatic restart on system failure if it is checked. If
this is the problem the next time it happens it will give you a blue screen
of death stop error, write this down and research it at the microsoft
knowledgebase website. If it is already unchecked, that not sure what is
causing this, possibly hardware or overheating problem?
