resaving a wmv file edited in MM2

I encoded a file with WMEncoder 9. It's a Multiple bit rate file (CBR). I
needed to trim some info from the middle of the file and paste the front and
back ends together. I want the edited file to be exactly the same as the
original wmv. How can I ensure that those settings stay when I save the file?

I did try to load a custom profile with the correct settings, but it's not
showing up in the list. (I did restart the app. and restarted my computer
too.)

An aside: once upon a time they had a program called stitcer that would
append one wmv to another and index the new file. Stitcher used with the WM
File Editor was so much faster then MM2 is there any way to get a copy of
Stitcher?

Check out Windows Media File Editor which is another utility that gets
installed with Windows Media Encoder. It is located in the utilities menu
under Start->All Programs -> Windows Media ->Utilities

File Editor works fine, except that I can't figure out how to append one file
to another. I may be missing something.
