I just wanted to bring this 2 day old topic to the top. Hope more people see it so I can get help.
Thanks

Dave
When I click on “My computerâ€, “My documentsâ€, “Control panelâ€, “My shared folderâ€or “Recycle binâ€, I get the message “The Web page you requested is not available offline. To view this page, click Connectâ€.
The other option is “Stay offlineâ€. Sometimes I have to keep clicking back and forth on that option and the folder I want to open few times before I can access the folder.
First time I go online after that, I can’t access any website before I click “Connect†on the same window that pops up again, even though I’m already connected
Sometimes, while trying to access any of those folders ofline, a different window pops up and it says “You requested information from www.thko.com. Which connection do you want to use?†I have to click on Cancel this time to stay offline
Anybody knows what the problem here is? Some kind of spyware? Virus
Please help
Thank

I did a google on "thko". It seems it's something to do with "lob.com" on
of those sites that can hijack your browsing
Download one of the anti spyware pieces of software eg spybot or adaware an
check your system. Warning - after they scan your machine, don't let the
delete anything automatically. Check the list first or you may mess u
applications you installed yourself
Please post back and let us know if that fixes your problem, it'
interestin

First of all, thanx for helping :
I've had Ad-aware for a couple of months now and it does find what it calls a "possible browser hijack attempt" and its location is: Software/Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main "Start Page" (http://thko.com/passthrough/index.html?http://www.microsoft.com/isapi/redir.dll?prd={SUB_PRD}&clcid={SUB_CLISD}&pver={SUB_PVER}&ar=home
I delete it every time but it obviously doesn't remove the source, because Ad-aware keeps finding it almost every time I do scanning
So you're right about this thing having something to do with spywares and browser hijacking. The thing is I don't know how to remove it

In short, I downloaded that Bazooka Spyware Scanner and it seems it found the problem. It's uninstalled and looks like those annoying "not available offline" windows are gone. WOW :)
Hope that's the end of the story.
Tim....thanks a lot man, i owe you 1.
Thanks to CheshireCat too.
