replys to my emails

I've had 3 different people try to reply to an email i've sent them and they
have been unable to do so. 1 managed to send after changing the setting to
rich text from html, but not all would try this. What could be the problem?
 
That depends. What exactly does "unable to do so" mean?
What happened after they clicked on Send? Did they get an error message?
