Jacques,
I might suggest that you take a look at the following two links:
http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=1265&eventno=346&source=NTDS KCC&phase=1
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=249256
The first one is for error 1265 on
www.eventid.net - an invaluable web site.
The second is for basic intrasite replication troubleshooting.
Also, what is the exact error message?
A quick note about AD Replication: you have actually three Naming
Contexts - or partitions: the Schema NC, the Configuration NC and the Domain
NC. The first two NCs are replicated to all Domain Controllers within the
forest. However, the Domain NC is replicated only to the DCs in each
particular Domain. So, all of the Domain Controllers in domain.com will
replicate amongst themselves the Domain NC 'domain.com' and all of the
Domain Controllers in subdomain.domain.com will replicate amongst themselves
the Domain NC 'subdomain.domain.com'. There is no crossing this line. A
Domain Controller in 'domain.com' is not going to replicate the Domain NC
with a Domain Controller in 'subdomain.domain.com'. The Schema NC and the
Configuration NC yes, but not the Domain NC.
HTH,
Cary
