Someone put 2000 on my computer for me, but did not give
me the disk. I cannot access my computer because it says
a file is missing or corrupted. All I want to do is find
a way to download that specific file, so that I can get
my computer going again. The name of the file is:
<windows2000 root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe. Can someone
help me fast?
Rhonda

Without the CD-Rom it wont be possible to run the repair process.

Rhonda,

It's not legal to use one license on more than one computer
I would advise you to buy another CD if you want to repair and use W2K

Honey, your going to have to use either recovery console
and sfc the file (could be tricky if you don't know what
your doing) or just reinstall Windows all together. How
did you lose that file? That is a very system critical
file. You could have a virus/worm/trojan of some kind..
unless you deleted that file yourself from a DOS prompt
of some sort (you can't delete that file while windows is
loaded, its the entire backbone of the operating system).

Good luck.
