when I start my computer seems fine then it says

error cant start windows do to corrupted file or
missing file needs to be fixed or replaced
<windows 2000root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe.

I dont know it says somthing like that. I just instaled
windows 2000 Im guesing it was a bad instal but I would
like to replace that file and I went on the win2000 cd
found the file but it wasnt a .exe file. so I guess I am
wandering how would you go about replacing that file
ntoskrnl.exe

You can boot from the CD and do a system repair on the file or manually
expand the file using the EXPAND .EXE utility and copy it in place.
