Replacement CD

I purchased Windows XP (home edition) and have had trouble
installing it. In fact, it never was installed. It always
hung up before the installation was complete.

I looked at the disk and found large scratches on the CD.
How can I get a replacement CD?

As long as You have a legit product key number just find someone who has
a copy of XP and have them burn you a copy.When you install imput the
key and your in business.A lot less hassle.

The borrowed disk needs to be the same type: retail, upgrade, OEM, etc. or
the key will be incompatible.
