replace "smart quotes"?

Susan

I am emailed Word document that has smart quotes in it. I
need to replace the smart quotes with the regular quotes.
I understand on the tools, AutoCorrect, AutoFormat about
unchecking the box in order to prevent regular quotes to
be replaced with "smart quotes" but I want to do the
reverse.

I want to replace the existing "smart quotes" with regular
quotes. How can I do that?

I have Word 2002, and Word 2003.

Susan,
Switch off "use smart quotes" in Tools>AutoCorrrect Options>AutoFormat As
You Type and then use Edit>Replace. Type " in the find what field and type
" in the replace with field and select replace all.
