I know its easy to do but I am downloaded an update
Q832894 and there is no option to repair from there and
if I remove that update then i have no IE on my
Add/Remove programs screen, so no way to repair. Any
ideas. Right now when I open IE it crashes and sends an
error report to Microsoft.

Rob,
Forget about the repair/update situation for now.

This may be a spyware / parasite problem.

From Control Panel> Internet Options> Advanced> uncheck "Enable third party
browser extensions."

That should allow IE to work. Then Run CWShredder from
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html CWShredder is only
about 125 KB so it could be downloaded from another machine onto a floppy
disk if necessary.

You might also be able to browse and download programs from the address bar
of Windows Explorer.

Follow up CWShredder with Ad-aware and Spybot S&D.
Ad-aware from http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/
Spybot from http://security.kolla.de/ (Remove items listed in red-others are
optional.)
Both programs should be updated after installation- before use.

See: Dealing with Unwanted Spyware and Parasites:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm for security tips and other
important information.

You should re-enable browser extensions after the cleanup.

If this doesn't fix your problem, reply to this thread.
