IE 6.0...... How to get rid of those...

Hello,
Since about a week IE6.0 (2800.1106) crashes now
and then. Have used the repair option but that didn't
work out so I think it's best to do a fresh reinstall of IE
in the coming days.

But does anyone know how to get rid of those super
irritating "Windows error-report" messages which I get
after each IE-crash... and in which I'm asked if I want
to restart IE and if I want to send an error-report to
Microsoft ?
My system is (still) Win98 se.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Frank,

Thanks for your reply but I'm not infected with malware.

I'm regularly running AdAware and PastPatrol and besides that
my system is protected by NOD32 and other progs.

If not mistaken I remember that there was a way to stop those
'Windows Error report' messages. But I did forget the trick that
solved that. Wasn't it a registery-adjustment ?

The solution I finally traced :

This tweak removes the IE Error Reporting tool from appearing with
the option to send browser debugging reports to Microsoft.
[Start] [Run] [Regedit]
Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
Note:- Create both values listed below and set according to the bold type for
the tweak to function properly.
Modify/Create DWORD Value of Data type REG_DWORD Named [IEWatsonEnabled]
Value Data: [0 - Disabled / 1 - Enabled]
Exit Registry / Reboot
