i cant boot up winxp unplugged floppy now im in recovery
console asking which win installation would i like to
log into? im on my friends computer
 
Not sure what the overall issue is, but you should only have one
installation there unless its a dual booted machine. Boot recovery console
into the installation that is Windows XP (usually C:\windows).
