In its older versions Outlook automatically opened after start all Outlook
windows that were active on previous log-off. Is there a way how to achieve
the same effect also in Office 2007?
Thanks.

I don't use Outlook 2007, but did you try the same steps of selecting File >
Exit?

When you say log-off, do you mean Windows logoff or Outlook logoff?
If Outlook, then I have never seen that before.
If Windows; it is not a good practice to shut down Windows without
closing Outlook first. You *may* end up with a damaged PST file.

I meant Windows log-off. Never took time to close applications one-by-one.
And yes, if you close Outlook by its "EXIT", everything is OK.
However in the past Outlook versions ... :-)
Thanks for reactions, answers.

Most applications do not need to be closed before Windows shutdown or
logoff. However, Outlook is a special case because its PST file(s) can
get very large. If a PST file is not properly closed by the application,
then you may get a damaged PST file, and potentially lose data.

I have never seen Outlook reopening its previously active windows, and I
have used Outlook 97, 98, 2000, and 2003.

Thanks for explaining why Outlook should be closed separately, in advance.
As for the reopenning: if you have, say, a mail window, a contacts window
and a calendar window open in paralel, even now, in Outlook 2007, after
closing it via "exit" and openning it later the three windows will reopen.

In Outlook 2003 this hapens even after you logout Windows and login again.
(My Outlook opens automaticaly via the Startup function right after logon.)
