Outlook 2007 crash at start-up

Outlook 2007 started crashing at start-up after working great for several
weeks on my Windows Vista laptop. I tried to uninstall it, but the Microsoft
Office uninstaller also crashes whether I do "change" or "uninstall". Other
Microsoft Office work fine.

I've tried the following without luck:
1. Uninstalling all Windows updates from the last couple weeks. There were
three I could not uninstall, including Office SP1.
2. Ran chkdsk.

Strangely Adobe Reader also started crashing at start-up at about the same
time. Looking at Problem History details shows it crashes in ntdll.dll, as
does Outlook 2007. Uninstalling Adobe Reader didn't cause Outlook 2007 to
work.

Event log shows the following details for the Outlook 2007 crashes:
Problem signature
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: OUTLOOK.EXE
Application Version: 12.0.6212.1000
Application Timestamp: 46e03e45

Exception Code: c0000005
Exception Offset: 00022a15
OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.256.6

Any ideas out there?

Reformatted and reinstalled Windows Vista and Outlook 2007, and it is working
again, for what little it's worth.
