Renewing IP address failed.

I suddenly lost my internet connecation( DSL , Windows XP).
When I tried to repair it, it said I should renew my IP
address. I tried by every means,using IPconfig /release
and IPconfig /Renew. I rebooted my modem several times. I
tried to renew using DHCP server. It shows that I have
DHCP lease until 2007.

Somebody please help me with this.thanks.

Have you checked with your ISp, they may have an outage
on your line....
