Rename username

Jim

Im trying to delete my former wife's name from password protected username
sign on and a folder in my Documents and Settings. When I try to rename them
it states it is a Windows System folder and is required for Windows to run
properly. It cannot be moved or renamed. I would truely appreciate any 'not
to technical' help. Thank You

1) Create a new username

2) Follow the steps in the following article to copy data from the
old profile into your new username/profile:
"How to copy data from a corrupted user profile to a new profile
in Windows XP"
<http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811151>

3) Delete the old profile as follows:
Right-click "My Computer" -> Properties -> Advanced (tab)
In the "User Profiles" box, click "Settings"
When the next window pops up (may take a while) select a user name
and click the "Delete" button.

Make sure files are safely moved and/or backed up before doing this
last step because it will delete whatever files are left in that user
profile.

HTH,
John
