Removing Terminal Services

S

Scott S.

When I initially set up a Win 2003 server, I checked Terminal Services
thinking that I needed it to use remote desktop for admin. I now know
that I do not need it. Unfortunately, I learned this after I'm no
longer able to connect with Remote Desktop because of a lack of
licenses.

I need to remove Terminal Server so that I can just use Remote Desktop
for admin. I was about to remove it, but a message popped up saying
that if I remove Terminal Services any programs I installed while
Terminal Services was running will no longer work!

Is this true? I installed Project Server 2003 on this server after
the initial setup and it is now in production. If I remove Terminal
Services will it wipe out my Project Server?

Thanks!
Scott

Scott,

That might depend. If you first installed Terminal Services and then
installed some applications ( via Add/Remove Programs or change user
/install ) and you then later remove Terminal Services you will most
probably need to reinstall the applications.
