removing files from Registry

I am installing AOL 1mb broadband but it hangs every time
I log off and loses the settings , causing me to have to
reinstall every time I log on again . AOL told me to
remove file Q811493 from the Registry , how do I do this
please ???

If you must remove it, you can remove it from Add/Remove Programs. See the

The original patch for 811493 caused performance issue and was re-released
around May 28, 2003. I think AOL believes you have the older patch. See the
following article to see more information:

However, I would recommend installing back the later patch if the problem
continues even with the patch uninstalled. That would prove to me that it is
another cause.
