I have SBC DSL on one computer and can't connect my other
computer. Both are Windows XP I need to clear out the
dial up settings/blocks so the second computer will see
the new address for the DSL modem. I'd rather not
reformat and reinstall Windows XP and all my programs
like my friend had to do.
Thanks

How exactly are the computers connected? Who told your friend to
reformat!? All you need to connect is the TCP/IP protocol. I, too, have
SBC DSL and I have 4 PCs connecting through a Linksys router and all I
had to do was plug them in and make sure the proper protocol was installed.
