Dial-up Networking

I just did a reinstall of Windows XP Pro and I am setting up Internet again,
Alltel Dialup. When I go into Create a New Connection and get to the page to
select Dial-up, DSL, or Cable, both Dial-up and DSL are greyed out. What's
the problem?

George,

You Cannot Create a Network Connection After You Restore Windows XP

The usual fix is to re-install your current service pack (SP1 or SP2).

This comes up occasionally too:
Dial-up Modem or PPPoE Option in New Connection Wizard Is Unavailable

It can also happen if the modem is not detected..
