-If you look at Internet Settings in Control Panel, you'll probably find
that it's set to 'always dial a connection' and the default is the analog
modem.
However, some DSL modems are treated like dial-up -although there is no
dialling - and in this case there may be a 'dial-up entry' for DSL.
If none of those is the cause, then you might have acquired a 'preimum rate
dialler' malware, in which case you need to run spyware-checking software.
