Removing ActiveX controls

I've got some activeX controls in the Windows\Downloaded Program Files
folder that are not used anymore. They were left behind by Symantec software
which I no longer use. None of them show up in Add/Remove programs.

I know I can just delete them from the Downloaded Program Files folder but
is there anything else I need to do???
