remove nic from domain controller

hello ng,

current situation is as follows:
- win2000 server configured as domain controller has two nic´s,
running dns, dhcp and wins services
- first nic is 10 mbit bnc-nic, older clients connected to the server via
this nic;
dns, dhcp, etc. bound to this nic. ip 192.168.7.2
- second nic is 100 mbit tp-nic, connecting newer clients to the server.
ip 192.168.10.3
- this configuration works fine.

target configuration is
- older clients connected to the server via wlan instead of bnc, access
point uses
same subnet as second nic
- first nic should be removed due to the need for additional slot to insert
scsi-controller.

problem:
keep domaincontroller in function (services, gc ...) although first nic will
be removed.
how/where do we change the nic-configuration in order to keep things
"alive"?

thanks in advance for any hint.

1. Open "Properties" of Network Places
2. Choose "Advanced" from menu at the top
3. Choose "Advanced Settings.." from the dropdown menu
4. In the "Connections" box use the arrows on the right side to make sure
the NIC you are going to keep is at the top of the list and the Nic you are
removing is at the bottom.

In the properties of the connection you are going to remove,...disabled
(uncheck) Microsoft Networking and File and Print Sharing on that NIC. Then
give it a little time to take effect (just to be safe). Then in Device
Manager disable the NIC, then delete the NIC, the physically remove it.

The single remaining NIC just plugs into the LAN like normal and *all*
machines access this machine via that.
