Unable to see NIC properties

Guest

I have a w2k3 server that I am unable to view the network connection
properties of the NIC. IPCONFIG show all the IP settings handed out by DHCP.
The Device Manager shows the network card as working properly. I have
deleted the NIC from the device manager and re-added the NIC with no luck. I
am also able to browse the internet via this only NIC. Why am I unable to
configure (or see) the NIC via the Network Connections window?

Thanks

Hello,

Please check the status of "Network Connections" Service from the services
console. This service should be running.

Correct, the service is running but I am able to see the internet via a
browser and IPCONFIG shows the dhcp settings on the nic. I need to set the
nic's IP to a static config, which I am unable to do.

Thanks,

TC
