Remove extra user's Name

I removed a old user from xp through the system settings. But the name is

still on the logon screen. How can the name be removed from the system
completely so it does not appear on the logon screen. Thanks

What do you mean you removed it from the system settings? From the User
Accounts applet in Control Panel?

In the meantime, for cosmetic reasons only: Either use TweakUI or:

Hide User or Add User to the Welcome Screen (Line 22)
