Background: Having just built a WHS box, I was trying to get the XP client to
be recognized by WHS synching the WHS logon name to XP as follows;
Open the Run... dialog
Type "control userpasswords2" and press Enter.
Find the user you're having trouble with and select it, then click the
Properties button.
From the Properties dialog for a user, you can change the user's logon name
(the user name field), the user's full name (what gets displayed in the
normal Control Panel User Accounts applet and on the Welcome screen) and the
user's description
Problem: Since doing this, my user ID has disappeared from the Welcome
screen. Under Control panel - Users, my user id is not shown, but the logon
name I tried to append to my user id via steps above IS SHOWN.
How do I re-install my user id so that it is recognized in XP?
