Remove/delete default folders

I recently had a hard disk crash. I then restored files from backups. Upon
importing all my old PST files (and did not contain an active email account),
one of them mysteriously had the Deleted Items, Drafts, Inbox, Junk E-mail,
Outbox, and Sent Items folders added (the pst file was only for local storage
of emails, and I use two *other* IMAP accounts to send and receive emails).

These folders now clutter up my list of Mail Folders and are unecessary and
useless to me.

When I try to delete them they are grayed out. Searching for solutions to
this does not look promising. If someone knows of the secret, I'd be very
grateful with help finding a solution.

Thanks!

Oh, and BTW, this is Outlook 2007

First, never import from a PST. There's no need and you lose data.

That's too bad. Outlook will always create the full complement of default
folders in whatever PST you have specified as your delivery location and
they cannot be deleted. Outlook has always worked that way. IMAP folders
can never be the delivery location folders.
