hello,

I have downloaded an activex control (mfc dll) from a web site. It
shows under "c:\windows\downloaded program files".
I delete the activex control from "c:\windows\downloaded program
files" successfully, it does give any error message.
However, when I looked up the registry, some registry entries still
remain.
My question is, how can I ensure a complete uninstall of activex
control?

Thanks,
ksr

From what website did you download this ActiveX Control?

Windows version? IE version?

From a web site generated internally, the activex control is a cab
file embed within html page, using CODEBASE, CLASSID tags. I am
running on windows xp sr2, IE 6.0. It seems to work most times, but
sometimes, even after deleting from "c:\windows\downloaded program
files", the registry entries remain.
