Remote mail sent doesn't work

Athena

Hi,

My mail server is Comcast.net. I am using Outlook 2003. I am currently in
CA, my home is in NJ. I am connected to web through a wireless network not
part of Comcast.

I recive mail from three different email accounts OK. But I cannot send
any mail. Mail I sent stays in Outbox indefinetly and Outlook tries to send
one email even though there is no email in the Outbox! Please help. I
checked Comcast site there is no useful help.

Thank you.

Since you are not on their network you cannot use their SMTP server or
anyone could just abuse it to send junk e-mail (open relay). See if it works
when you configure your SMTP server to use authentication or otherwise use
the SMTP server of your current ISP.
