Outlook and Comcast

Whenever I have my laptop at school or anyplace outside of my home, my
e-mails get stuck in my outbox. When at home, they get sent fine. I can
download and read all incoming e-mail but am unable to send anything. Comcast
says their tech support doesn't support Outlook, only Outlook Express.
Anybody have a similar problem or any suggestions?

Outlook is supported by Comcast.

When you are outside of your home, you are not on the Comcast network, and
they won't allow you to send via their network if you're not connected to
them.

To retrieve your Comcast email while traveling, you must use SSL.
