Remote desktop is enabled in my Win XP computer (host). I find that the host
must be logged on at least once by a user before it can be connected from a
remote computer. Once the host is restarted, it can no longer be connected
again if no user log-on takes place.

Is there any setting I can change so that the host can be connected before a
user logs on?

TIA

That is not the normal function of remote desktop. Normaly you can log on
remotly even if a user has not locally logged on.
There is a microsoft xp newsgroup called WORK-REMOTLY. perhaps you can post
there too.

If the user attempting to use the remote desktop feature is not already logged in to the cosole of the machine, they will need to be included in the Remote Desktop Users or Administrators local group on the PC.
