I'm stumped !
Trying to setup my laptop to remotely access my desktop pc on wilerless
network.
I've spent 2 hours trying to accomplish this, I've read everything and it
looks like it should work. I have Norton inter sec. on both the Desktop and
Laptop. The wireless router is a Netgear.

Can anyone HELP me ?

Hi,

Is the desktop system a WinXP Pro system?
Are you getting an error message?
Have you disabled (or better yet, removed) NIS as part of the
troubleshooting?

Thanks for reply "Nutcase"

Both systems are Windows XP home
The Error says in the title bar "Remote Desktop disconnected" and in the
window it says "The client could not connect to the remote computer"
I didn't disable NIS. Should I disable it on both ?

Thanks
Dave

WinXP Home does not support Remote Desktop. You'll have
to use an alternative product, e.g. WinVNC.
