I have setup Remote Desktop on an XP Pro machine and have been able to
successfuly connect from another machine from within the LAN. Once I go
outside the LAN and try and test from an outside computer, then I get the
following error: "The client could not connect to the remote computer".
Currently the Windows Firewall is disabled on both the host and client
computers. I'm assuming that since I can successfuly make a remote
connection from within the LAN that the Linksys router is properly forwarding
port 3389 and it must be something else. Any ideas what would block outside
WAN Remote Desktop connections?
Any help you provide is greatly appreciated.
