I have a client that has a wireless network setup. We did have D-Link and I
just switched them to Linksys to try and correct the problem. The wireless
network is working great....until she tries to connect to another location
with remote desktop with a wireless computer.
She connects fine and with the D-Link wireless system, she would work and
then all of the sudden, a icon would start flashing in the upper right hand
corner and she would lose connection with the host. This would happen over
and over. Now she could go back and pull up web pages fine, but the remote
desktop has been giving her fits.
I switche her out to Linksys today hoping that would fix the problem. Now
it is very slow and locks up despite having excellent signal.
The next option is to just turn a 100' of wire to her computer from the
router, but I would rather be able to avoid that.
Is what we are tyring to do un-compatable with remote desktop or is there
some setting I have over looked.
Once again, we can connect to host computers, but can't keep the connection
to them...although the internet is still working fine.
Thanks guys and have a great labor day weekend.
