Remote Desktop Connection Setup

I have Windows XP PRO.
My computer is on my wireless network being served by a LINKSYS Wireless G
Broadband Router.
I have Norton Protection Center.

I would like allow connection to my network from the outside using Remote
Desktop Connection. Is there an easy "how to" guide to do this. I have
struggled a bit with this and how I assign username/password, and of course I
probably need to do something in my router to point out users to the correct
Remote Desktop server.

Basically you need to open/forward TCP Port 3389 through your router to the
static LAN IP of the PC you want to remotely access/control with Remote
Desktop (RDP). You call using the public IP of the router, ie. the IP
assigned by your ISP. The user account and password are local to the RDP
host PC, not the remote PC. The user must be an administrator or a member of
the Remote Desktop Users Group.
