Remote Desktop over a VPN

Guest

I have established a VPN between my home and work network. The VPN will
connect and stay connected But I can not get remote desktop to find my
computer at work. I can use remote desktop from one of my other computers
on the LAN at work but I can't over the VPN.

I also can not see my network at the work location over the VPN. Not sure
I'm doing every thing right. I am a novice at this so be easy on me.

The Host is Running XP Media Center Edition which allows remote Desktop
access( I am assuming just like Professional). Try ing to connect with XP
Home.

Any help will be appreciated!!!
Thanks

do a simple test. Can you ping the remote computer by IP?
