I am trying to use remote desktop from my home to my
office and failed. My office use SBC Yahoo DSL. I open
the port 3389 routing on router. Firewall is disable on
the router as well as the XP. I use http://www.network-
tools.com to ping my ip address and got a "time out". but
the IP address does resolve to something like -->[adsl-67-
119-137-49.dsl.lsan03.pacbell.net]. When I trace the IP I
got the following -->
TraceRoute to 67.119.137.49 [adsl-67-119-137-
49.dsl.lsan03.pacbell.net]

Hop (ms) (ms) (ms) IP Address Host name
1 0 47 46 66.46.176.3 -
2 0 0 16 216.191.97.45 pos5-2.core2-mtl.bb.allstream.net
...........

...........

18 Timed out Timed out Timed out

<---
Time out too after 18 Hop

I look everywhere to find the answer to it.

Can anyone help ?

First, make sure that you are FORWARDing TCP Port 3389 to your
computer. Also, re-enable the NAT Firewall (if that is what you were
running before - I assume you have the Cayman router for SBC).
