Hi There
I am having problems connecting to W2K terminal server
via dial up to my office. But when I try to connect
through Network while I am in Office it work perfect.I got
following error message when I try to connect through dial
up:-
The client could not establish a connection to the
remote computer. the most likely causes for this error
are :-
1) remote connections might not be enabled at the remote
computer. (thats not right because through network it work)
2) the maximum number of conncetions was exceeded at the
remote computer (Not possible because it is the only PC
try to connect)
3) the network occurred while establishing the connection.
(not possible because I can print through dialup
connection.)

This laptop was working fine before.

Please help me in this issue

Hi,

Is there a firewall or router blocking TCP port 3389? Try to telnet from
the client to the server using port 3389. On the client open up a command
window and type telnet <terminal server Ip address> 3389

Thanks,
Marc Reynolds
