Win2000 pro remote desktop connection problem

T

tnhunter27

Recently I had to format a Win2000 Pro station, before I
formatted it, we used the remote connection desktop to
connect to our terminal services server. Now it will not
connect, it gives me the following error.

1) remote connections might not be enabled at the remote
computer
2) the maximum number of connections was exceeded at the
remote computer
3) A network error occurred while establishing the
connection.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Which OS do you run on the Terminal Server?
Is there anything in the EventLog on the TS when you try to
connect?

OK, that rules out licensing as a potential problem.
I would systematically follow the troubleshooting tips here:

187628 - Using Telnet to Test Port 3389 Functionality
