Remote Desktop Connection timeouts

What causes Remote Desktop Connection to timeout and
display the image of a disconnected PC in the upper right
corner? Users are complaining that this happens even
while they are working, not during idle time. They're
accesing over a Check Point VPN, and I can clearly see in
the firewall logs that the VPN is not being terminated and
rebuilt. Any ideas?

This can happen anytime... Maybe the server NIC "hiccuped" and was
momentarily disconnected... Under normal use this shouldn't happen
much at all... If you are using a wireless network, this can and does
happen a lot.
