Hi,

I have a laptop and pc. The PC has Win XP Pro, and laptop
has XP Home.

I can do remote desktop from laptop to connect to pc. But
I cannot access my laptop from my pc. It cannot connect
to it:

Remote connections may not be enabled on client
comouter...... etc

Any ideas?

Thanks
Akhil

How about setting the same checkboxes on the laptop, like you did on the pc
to get remote desktop working on it?
I mean, you will have to configure (through control panel, system, remote
desktop tab) the laptop to allow remote connections coming in and indicate
what userid(s) are allowed to.
If using some firewall, make sure remote connections are allowed through.

Remote desktop is only part of XP Professional. It is not included with the
Home version unfortuneatly.

you're right, my bad, overlooked that little detail in the OP messages
:-((

Xp pro can be a client or a host in a remote desktop session.
Xp home can only be a client in a remote desktop session.

Damn,

Anyway I can install it on the home version (as I have an
XP pro cd with me), but would like to keep home on the
laptop

Thanks
