Remote desktop and 2 screens

I am using XP SP2 at work with 2 screens.

Some of my applications open on the right screen (no toolbar).

My problem is that if I use remote desktop from home where I only have one
screens, the applications that open on the 2nd screen will still try to open
on the second screen. So I can't do anything with those applications at
home.

Is there a way to tell Remote Desktop to use only one screen?

Thanks,

Tom

I have two screens as well. I just use UltraMon, and have it set to display
an icon in the system tray. I have set the icon to toggle the second
monitor on or off.

I am not sure if UltraMon has any command line options. If it has, can use
the tab on the RDP client to automatically run a command to switch of the
second monitor on bootup.

If you have icons on the second screen, or are changing resolutions when
using RDP, you can use this to get them restored to the original locations:

Looks pretty interesting. I haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

Does it affect your computer at work? I have 2 screens at work and don't
want it to mess that up.

It would be nice if the RDP had an option that said you only have one screen
at home so open the windows only on the one screen.

Without this program, is there a way to get at the windows that open on the
2nd screen? Or be able to close the windows and tell the programs to only
open on the main screen.

What I have to do now is move all the windows to the main screen and close
them. Then open each program to make sure it will only open that way.

Thanks,

Tom
