Remote Assistance

I am having problem sending and receiving invitations for remote assistance,
I get a "remote-assistance-failed" error every time. It used to work
perfectly OK.

I have disabled firewalls etc and I have installed all Windows updates that
apply to my machine.

Can anyone help me on this one as I have a mate who needs me to look at his
machine, thanks

Have you ever connected to this machine? Or is this the
first time?

Can you connect to other machines?

I'm just trying to determine which end of the
communication has the connection problem.

It doesn't even try to connect I get the error straight away if I am sending
or receiving a request.
