I keep getting this. Why? I've made exceptions in the Firewall and my router
but no go.

Hi,

When does it happen? Quite often, this error occurs because the machine
being accessed gave its local lan IP rather than the IP used to face the
outside world. When you are using RA across the internet, you need to use
the IP from the wan side, not the machine's local IP.

Use a web site http://www.WhatIsMyIP.Com to get your public, WAN
IP address. When the RA ticket arrives edit it with notepad and change
the destination IP ( 192.x.x.x ) to the value returned by WhatIsMyIP.
(Be careful in editing). Also if the "Host" PC is behind NAT equipment
it may be necessary to change the Router's Persistent Port forwarding
to pass port 3389 on to the LAN IP address.
Here's an excellent site that explains the steps to setup Port Forwarding
on common equipment and for specific services and applications:
http://www.portforward.com/default.htm

Hi,

You need to edit the RA file and change the IP address from the end user's
local IP to their IP for the outside world.

Good advice but doesnt seem to work. I am beginning to think this is such a
bogus program. Should it be that difficult??? It seems a smart program
should be able to perform the necessary steps in the background to make this
work.
