remote assistance through router

I tried to use remote assistance on a friends pc. She has
a wireless router with 4 pcs. I am assuming that remote
assistance can't find the computer behind the router.

If that is the case. Could I remote assistance in to the
main computer (on the router) and PC anywhere to the
computer/s that i need to work on?
