Remote Assisstance Using Windows Messenger

N

NJITGS

Greetings-

Could anyone tell my why when I attempt to connect to someone else's
computer to assist them with Windows Messenger 7.0 it constantly telle me
that the connection failed because the host server could not be found?

Both myself and the person that I would like to connect with have both
disabled our firewalls, so port forwarding or allowing Remote Desktop
connections is not the issue on either end. Also, both computers are
enabled to be controlled remotely from the My Computer System Properites
tab.

I am running Windows XP MCE

Thank you.

TeamViewer uses its own server. Both the expert (you) and the novice (your
friend) simply start the TeamViewer program which automatically connects to
the TeamViewer servers. You would then call your friend using his unique ID
and assigned password. See the TeamViewer user manual for help and details.
