Remote Access Connection Manager

I am trying to STOP Telephony and Remote Access Connection Manager under
services in administrative tools. I keep getting a 1052 error (can't stop in
timely manner). Any ideas on how to get around this problem? I'm running XP
Media Center Edition.

Set them both to "disable" and reboot.
