Remote assiatance fail to start

Encounter problem when trying to add new dial-up conneciton under IE. The
error here is ; Error 711; A configuration error on this computer is
preventing this connection. Cannot load the remote access connection manager
service.
So I open up the Local Service under admin tool - notice few Remote access
service are off and could not force to start with following error:

1. Remote Access Auto Connection Manager Service: status :Stop, when click
start, error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start
2. Remote Access Connection Manager Service: Stop, when click start: error
126: the specified module could not be found.
3. Routing & remote access : Stop, when click start: Windows could not start
the routing & remote access on local computer. error code 711.

As the dependency service is on Remote access connection manager, I check
the Telephony service is started. Not sure what goes wrong.

Had try to install the Sr.inf from win cd, and upgradeed to win XP service
pack 3. But still does not help.
Someone told me this is because of hardware issue and ask to connect
manufacturer (I am using Dell XPS)
Hope someonen can help me out here, I had try for few days to solved this
out.

It could be the 3rd party software issue. For troubleshooting, try to clean
boot.

I too have been having a similar type problem. Routing and Remote Access will
occasionally start - but then it terminates (nothing in the even logs as to
why). The Remote Access Connection manager fails to start with error code
126: The specified module cannot be found. At this point Routing and Remote
Access has stopped with service specific error 711. One thing I have also
noticed is the the hidden RAS Async Adapter has an error code 45 (hardware
device not connected) (Huh.. how can this be since it is strictly a software
device). I have been trying everything I can find on this problem from the
Knowledge base articles and so far nothing has resolved it. Also, I am unable
to create any dial-in or VPN connections also. And, trying to delete the RAS
adapter, and the Microsoft TV/Video adapter gives the result that they cannot
be deleted since they may be needed for booting (huh?)
