Hello Jesper,
I want to say yes, I want to say no. Technically the special folder "My Documents" is set for a
particular user in the, 'Documents and Settings\[TheUserName]\My Documents', folder tree. The
security for the user is defined at the, ...\[TheUserName]\..., node. Hence the need for the
Shared Documents folder in the, 'Documents and Settings\All Users\Shared Documents' tree.
Never tried to redirect all users' 'My Documents' to the Shared Documents folder, but it it not
too difficult to experiment a little. Create a new Folder under, 'Documents and Settings\All
Users', see if the security and permissions that are defined for 'Shared Documents', are the
same as yours, let's just call it 'Common Documents', redirect everyone's 'My Documents' to
'Common Documents', and see what happens.
If all goes belly up, you can redirect everything back and delete 'Common Documents', and it
will just be like nothing happened.
Hope this helps ya'.
