Hi, I have a problem with windows xp- SP3. When I'm viewing a folder (for instance C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\Downloads) the contents of the folder will auto-refresh with no apparent reason every 5 seconds. Obviously I cannot work under this condition. I've tried changing HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{BDEADE7F-C265-11D0-BCED-00A0C90AB50F}\Instance DontRefresh but it doesn't solve the problem. Note: the problem seems to have started after I connected an external hard drive for backup (which I have since disconnected).
